Well things are what they are and the laws and rules under which all citizens are to abide are made or made up as they have always been, seemingly on a whim or whatever by some person or group with a personal agenda or axe to grind with little or no consideration for or consultation from those that these rules and or laws will affect or the impact that these laws/rules will have on anyone or if indeed there are already laws on the books to deal quite nicely with problems, if someone saw fit to properly enforce them, or if these laws/rules have a basis in truth, or are even necessary or required.

Little thought goes into whether this new rules/laws are enforceable or contravene rights and freedoms guaranteed by the Charter of Rights or constitution.

Why should anyone give any concern to minor details like Rights and Freedoms when a politician’s agenda is on the line?

Most times these laws are vague at best, both in language and intent, because that is the way that they wanted them.

If you make things too concise and clear it make it too easy to come up with a clear and concise argument against them, If they had been clearly and completely researched and thought out the plans would never have left the drawing board in the first place and they might not have been rammed so easily through legislation and down our throats.

Why would they let clarity and infringements on a Citizens individual rights and freedoms interfere with their desire to further their agendas and interfere with their raising their public profile or to give police yet another tool to harass and bully the public that they are supposed to serve!

After all, people like Julian Fantino never let things like individual rights and freedoms and due process of law slow him down in his personal growth and look where he is now!

These things are made to ignore!

Such is the case with so many of these things that are being constantly crammed down our throat!

Motorcycles and motorcyclists tend to be a prime target of these zealots who in their minds, know so much better than we who ride what is good for us.

There are many examples, such as helmet laws (The war on this one is still being waged in the courts.) noise bylaws and handlebar laws that are clearly aimed solely at motorcycles only where definitions, and interpretations are left up to the individual officers to determine if there is an infraction.

Handlebar laws have been a thorn in the side of bikers for a long time and the subject of many a discussion.

They have been a cash cow and a real mainstay weapon of harassment for that the Police have wielded with gusto for years as demonstrated at events such as Friday 13th at Port Dover where it is like shooting fish in a barrel.

The cops were pulling over large packs and checking everyone over. Noise was a major area of attention, but the old standby, handlebars is a guaranteed money maker.

There is no clear cut method by which the handlebar measurements are made and no clear definition of what is and is not legal.

Also there is no evidence showing that high bars are a safety issue so what is the intention of the law in the first place?

Handle bar height is such a subjective thing and should be what fits and suits the individual rider based on factors such as height of the rider, reach and body type and would depend also on, seating, suspension, make, model of and style of the individual motorcycle.

These are only some of the factors, none of which are currently being used to determine if there is an offense being committed or what it really appears to be; an offensive, law.

The handlebar laws are being challenged right now by “Legal Beagle” Sue Whalen, a licenced Paralegal who has taken on a case pro bono, and has taken up the cause because it is just and it is time.

Sue who writes for me in a column on my website crittercountry.ca and is an Independent member of the OCC (Ontario Confederation of Clubs) has taken up the fight on her own time and her own time, investigating, researching and studying the law from legal, safety and practical aspects and is now close to getting a real decision that will affect riders in this Province.

Sue along assisted by Jamie Cargill who together measured the handlebar heights of various motorcycles documented their findings and then took time off work to attend court to testify to those measurements.

They have shown true commitment to the task and spent countless hours on this cause.

I am confident that the OCC ,( who are set up not only to represent the rights of Motorcycle Clubs but those of individuals and independent riders), will get behind this Sue in this fight and support her financially so that she does not have to bear the full financial burden as well as the workload.

I am considering ways that I may offer something more than just moral support with my upcoming Show and Shines and such.

Many have tried, including our publisher/editor JR to challenge these laws in the past (and has written about it in these pages) only to have the case dismissed before a ruling could be made.

Sue has come a long way.

Get behind her on this issue and when this is done, help her to move on to other issues and other challenges to laws that have been forced on us and affect our rights as riders and as citizens of this province.

We need people like Sue who are determined to make a difference and not be treated with the disrespect, arrogance and contempt that our Government has shown to date and not afraid to make some noise!

Keep on fighting Sue!

You are not alone!

So in the meantime, if you do get a ticket for handlebar infractions… do not pay it! Fight it! We should all be fighting everything anyway but especially now!

How the Hell does this happen?

How can this be called a justice system?

How can anyone in charge say with a straight face that justice and the laws are being applied equally and without bias or prejudice with the kind of decisions that are being handed down by some judges in this Province?

How can a young black male pose for a picture holding a loaded, illegal, unregistered handgun and was subsequently caught red handed with it when the police battered in his door, not have to serve what was supposed to be a mandatory three year sentence for that offense?

The judge took into account that he had no previous criminal record, was father, had a job and a supportive family.

Well whoop dee do!

If that young man was a biker would that have mattered?

I know of lots of bikers who fit that same description and aside from the fact that they weren’t black who have served time for things that were far less serious in nature than what this young man got a pass on.

What of the gentleman who was recently deported to Scotland because he was once a member of the Hells Angels.

He had no criminal record!

He had ties to the community!

He was a respected businessman and martial arts trainer and he had a supportive family here who were also dependant on him.

How is this fair and equal treatment under the law?

There are many other instances where things that are being done to bikers, if done to any other member of any race colour or creed would be considered racist, prejudiced and unlawful!

If the police were to go to the employer of a black man or a Muslim or any other race, religion or relationship and insist on them being fired based solely that criteria, all Hell would break loose and there would be rioting in the streets!

But that is what they do to many bikers on a regular basis.

Particularly if they are a member of a club!

Bikers are maligned and misrepresented regularly by Police and the media without fear of reprisal or repercussions due partly to the fact that they have been getting away with it for so long.

Bikers are an important part of their lives and without bikers many would have to find another way to earn a living.

The biker squad might have to do real police work rather than hand around outside the gates of clubhouses or parties harassing all who dare go there with unwarranted charges and taking endless pictures of members and associates of who they already have countless pictures of.

What would be considered to be security or protection of property to someone else when a biker is involved it is fortification.

At budget time headlines announcing police warnings of the fabled “Immanent Biker Wars” appear in newspapers accompanied by tales of violence that occurred years previous in other Provinces and other parts of the World.

It is the game that is played over and over and the outcome is always the same.

The Bikers are vilified and the cops are the heroes.

That is their story and they are sticking to it.

In the real World people know that things are not always what they are purported to be.

Those who are supposed to be good aren’t always good and those who are portrayed and reputed to be bad aren’t always bad!

Sometimes if you look behind the curtains and read between the lines you find the real truth.

What did Oz really give the Tin Man, The Scarecrow or the Lion?

Sometimes it is all just smoke and mirrors!

Make some noise!

How long can this stuff keep going on?

How long are the people of this Province going to tolerate the kind of abuses of power and authority that has and still is exhibited and exercised by various Police Agencies from the bottom of the chain of command to the top, on a regular and ongoing basis?

How many questionable, serious incidents involving Police officers where the officers are exonerated of wrong-doing mainly because the Police won’t co-operate or interfere with the SIU which they are supposed to co-operate with under the laws of this Province.

A law that these officers and their commanding officers choose to ignore!

They with-hold their notes and refuse to co-operate thereby thwarting a proper investigation by the agency that was put in place to protect the public’s interest and ensure that there isn’t an abuse of power, procedure and authority by the Police.

So much for having the public’s interests at heart!

To self- serve and self- protect at all costs would be a more appropriate motto for these forces.

How can they have any credibility when they have the choice to ignore certain laws only when it pertains to them and the actions of some of them while holding members of the public accountable for all laws?

If we, the public were to with-hold information or evidence or tamper or alter the facts we would be charged with obstruction of justice or other such charges.

So it should be for the Police as well.

The Police want us to provide DNA samples on demand and yield unquestionably to their authority yet they refuse to hand over their notebooks to an agency that is legally entitled to see them?

How is that allowed?

When did the Police Agencies and Associations gain the kind of power that they can over-ride or supersede the Laws that these officers are supposed to be enforcing?

How can they expect the public to have faith in them and respect for them when they can blatantly and at will, ignore laws that they are sworn by oath to uphold? Perhaps they had their fingers crossed when they swore that part of the oath?

They seem to feel that they are not accountable for their actions and the public doesn’t have the right to know the truth by virtue of the fact that they wear a badge and a gun and were given a job and that now they feel that they have the divine right to determine their own perimeters regardless of what the Law dictates.

Who do we think we are?

Do we not realize that they know what is best for us or more to the point, what is best for them, after all, we hired them to do the job and we gave them the badge and the gun?

A shooting and death at the hands of Police isn’t allowed the same scrutiny as is done when it involves a member of the public, simply because it involves a Police officer?

These Police Agencies feel that they can investigate the incidents involving their officers themselves and don’t need outside intervention.

Many extremely questionable incidents involving Police would suggest otherwise.

It is documented fact that Police officers have been involved in crimes ranging from theft and extortion to murder yet we are supposed to have blind faith that they have it under control and can be trusted to do the right thing?

Am I saying that all Police are to be doubted and unworthy of respect?

Not at all!

The majority are fine, brave, honest, upstanding officers with the public’s best interest at heart and do their jobs diligently and with pride and are deserving of our respect and trust.

Some are not and it has become painfully obvious that the Police agencies are either unable or unwilling, to weed out the bad from the good and as a result the reputations and credibility of all officers suffer and the needs of the public are not being properly served or protected.

They would like the public to believe in fairy tales that they tell and take them as if they were gospel.

Things like “All Police are good! All Police are honest! All Bikers are evil, immoral, tramps and thieves! The cheque is in the mail! I won’t come in your mouth!”

If you buy those statements give me a call I have some deals on bridges and well irrigated land that I’d like to offer you!

The Special Investigation Unit (SIU), the civilian watchdog agency should be given proper support and authority in this Province as it is the only way that we, the public will ever have true confidence in the various Police Agencies who say they have our best interests at heart.

Talk is cheap!

What have they got to hide?

Are we being treated fairly and are the laws being applied equally and without prejudice and bias?

There is much to suggest that that is not the case!

Put the public interests ahead of the personal interests and agendas of individuals and agencies that have much to gain by avoiding public scrutiny and accountability!

I think what we have here is a failure to communicate!

I guess it happens sometimes. Some things mean some things to different people and something entirely different to others.

Some things such as respect, duty, honour, honesty and truth mean more to some than to others,

The same seems to apply to the way the Laws of the Land are interpreted and administered, what was and is still being promised is a far cry from what we are getting in many cases.

It was always my assumption that these Laws were quite specific and clear and applied to all equally and without qualification or prejudice.

It was my belief that no one was above the Law.

It was also my contention that Police officers, while using some reasonable discretion in the enforcement of these Laws were bound by sworn oath that they would uphold and enforce those Laws to the best of their abilities, despite the fact that in doing so, they would be severely tested and at times the job would put them in harm’s way and in the face of great temptation, and that would be the test of their mettle, their worth, their word and their morals.

Apparently there are some members of the various Polices agencies who have a quite a different take on the subject.

Now, I do realize that all people in all walks of life are not created equal in terms of ability, knowledge and commitment and the same applies to Police Officers.

They are, after all, just human beings and as such susceptible to human failings.

As with anything else in life and living, some are up to the task, others are not.

Some make the cut, some don’t.

Some fail along the way due to the human condition and other factors, some self-inflicted and some can be attributed to fate, bad luck or bad karma.

Some set their sights high and have lofty goals and ambition but somewhere along the way, realize (Or their peers or superiors will realize.) that they are not going to reach those heights or achieve the dreams or fall short of the mark that they set when they started out.

Some can accept it, some can’t.

Some will fail miserably and their dreams will become nightmares.

Some will change their course and move on to something more realistic and within their grasp or better suited to the person they really are and not who they originally perceived themselves to be.

There are some so well suited to a particular job, sport, or whatever, that you, they and anyone who knows them could not envision them doing anything else.

There are others that are so ill suited to that you have to wonder whatever possessed them to think they could do that particular job in the first place.

Now I know there are going to those out there reading this that will be saying; here he goes again just ranting on the Cops again.

Fair enough, but while the Police are the focus of this article it is not because they are Police but the way issues with Police are handled and the way the Laws are applied differently to them and the expectation of certain officers that this should be done and it is the idea that some cops put themselves on a different plain than the rest of the citizenry and feel that they are not accountable for their actions or subject to the same consequences.

I don’t have an issue with any Police Department in particular and believe whole heartedly that the vast majority of them are honest, hardworking individuals with strong moral values, who do their jobs with the proper intent and motivation however I do have a problem with some specific Cops who have some overwhelming sense of entitlement and feel that they are not to be held to the same levels of accountability as the rest of society simply because at some point in their careers someone made a grievous error and hired them as a Police Officer and they feel that that was a “Get out of Jail Free Card” or an exemption from the laws that apply to us mere citizens, that should apply for all their live long days and they get away with it!

What is worse is that the honest hard working cops who do their jobs with diligence and integrity are expected to support and defend these pieces of shit who they should be trying their damndest to throw in jail if they didn’t belong to the same union, association and didn’t subscribe to the “Blue Wall” code!

You constantly hear in the aftermath of some shooting (in The Jane/Finch corridor just for example)and the Police are complaining that the community tightens up and no witnesses come forward and they are seemingly puzzled because there were scores of people in the area who had to see and know what went on.

Yet they do the exact same thing! Constantly.

They close up their ranks in the light of wrong doing on the part of one of their own even when they know who did wrong and that he/she did was wrong and by protecting this individual they have to lie to protect someone who should in reality not be worthy of their protection or respect.

With any organization, club, job, team or anything that involves interaction of people or performance levels or expectations you are going to have those who excel and those who because of character flaws or whatever, just don’t make the grade.

You expect certain failure rates.

All levels should expect this and accept the fact that when you fail and depending on how badly you fail, there are certain repercussions and consequences that can affect your continuing in that particular endeavor in the same capacity or at all that goes along with these failures.

Sometimes, in reality, your dreams and expectations are way beyond your aptitude or capabilities.

Sometimes you realize it on your own and make whatever change is necessary, sometimes others do it for you.

A lot has to do with accepting responsibility for your own actions and be culpable for your failures.

What absolutely infuriate me are stories of Cops who broke the Law (A recent example is what transpired with a cop in Brantford where they even had video of him doing drugs on duty by means of a hidden camera in his cruiser, yet expects to continue as a Police Officer, but there are many more!)and then expect to be not only be given a pass on the crimes committed but expect to retain their jobs, respect and be compensated because their problems were not personal failures but a disease that their particular Police Dept. failed to deal with properly and thus was not to be considered personally responsible, oath, public trust and morals be damned!

His/her being a complete and total piece of shit, unworthy of trust, lying, stealing, doing drugs on duty, betraying the trust put in him by the public, his superiors and fellow officers thus proving himself unworthy of the right to call himself a Police Officer and thereby discrediting himself, and in turn, casting a black cloud over his entire force and all Police Officers is someone else’s fault!

He and all others like him should not only lose his job, but should be publicly and privately admonished and disassociated from the ranks and lives of all the officers who do take their jobs and their oaths to heart and meant what they said when they signed on and swore that oath, but should also suffer full penalties under the law not just those under the provisions of the police act.

They gave up the right to the protection of the Police act when they stepped outside of the law.

But the various associations or Unions insist that they must show solidarity and support their ‘Brothers in Blue” in their problems, whether they are right or wrong.

When a cop charged with a serious breach of trust and criminal acts or both goes on trial and a crew of fellow cops show up to bully and intimidate victims, witnesses, press and observers is not showing support for a fellow officer, (whose actions should not be condoned by these officers if they were at all serious about serving the public) is discreditable to the uniform and badge that they wear and the oath that they took.

These actions are self-serving and not in the interest of the public good or upholding or enforcing the law or bettering public opinion of Police behavior and the only statement they are making is that as Police officers they are above the Law.

There is so much that is swept under the table by the various Police forces and the public is left totally in the dark as to the extent of the crap that goes on.

It is a rare occasion that there is a story such as the one in Brantford does manage to find its way out from under the rug and comes to the public’s attention and when it does a shocked public is under the impression that it is uncommon and something that will get sorted out.

It is not a rare occurrence and it doesn’t get sorted out. It is stalled and swept aside in hopes that something else will happen to take the incident out of the spotlight and let the powers that be sweep it back under the rug.

There used to be a great and very popular website run by The Hells Angels Motorcycle Club called the Real Deal News.

They dug deep under that rug (Hell they dragged the rug outside and beat the Hell out of it!) and brought the dirt right out there for anyone interested in what was really happening to find out. It was full of stories that the various forces would try to suppress and it was to say the least, very popular except of course with the police.

It brought to light many flaws in the various police agencies.

It showed in black and white and sometimes in glorious colour, the warts that are hidden from public scrutiny and it wasn’t pretty.

The numbers of incidents far overwhelmed anything ever committed by members of the “Biker Community and Biker Clubs” who the cops still insist were and is, “The Bad Guys” of society!

Sadly the heat that was put on the Club spelled the end for Real Deal News and it is missed by all except of course the various police departments who like to have a tight rein on the media and supress the public’s right to know.

Now we are reliant upon various news agencies and media outlets that will occasionally slip out from under the thumb of Law Enforcement long enough to break a story now and then but, we, the public need to know all, not just what occasionally leaks out.

The Public needs the truth, not to embarrass or expose for the sake of ridicule but to give the public a clear picture and have the Police admit that they are far from perfect and they are not above the laws that they are charged with enforcing on others and can work within the perimeters and boundaries set by society.

The public is owed honesty and integrity and a police agency that is accountable.

There is a failure to communicate!

The truth, at least!

Bullshit and rhetoric go on forever!

That’s why some still have their jobs and some even advance far beyond where they rightfully belong!

Make some noise!

Hey now what’s that sound?

Could this be the beginning of a new era in the land of the Trillium where liberties are being taken with the rights and freedoms of certain groups of citizens that are not allowed with others in what has been a multi-tiered Justice system for as long as I remember but it is rapidly getting worse.

The recent happenings at the Orangeville Legion where the LLBO placed restrictions on the Legions Liquor license and with definitions provided by the local police denied access to anyone wearing any kind of patch or support items that related to any “Motorcycle gang” which according to their interpretation, included groups like the 1st Cavs, Southern Cruisers and any other group who wore a patch.

This effectively ruined what had always been a very well attended event foul weather or fair and gives the Legion much needed support.

Clubs of all stripes have always supported this event and there has never been any trouble of any sort.

This year however, due to heavy handed tactics by certain Government agencies and Law Enforcement groups the rights and freedoms of Canadian Citizens were violated!

This included our veterans!

This was to my mind, totally unacceptable and a complete travesty.

There were rumours to the effect that The Deck had received a sixty day suspension of their Liquor license because there had been clubs in attendance at their Show and Shine the week before.

These rumours were totally unfounded as I discovered when I stopped by the Deck on my way home.

They were indeed up for a suspension in September but it was a twelve day suspension over a Fire door violation that is questionable in itself but it had nothing to do with any “Motorcycle Gang” issues as what was being told to people at the Legion.

The fire-door incident, according to Tim and his staff evolved when the LLBO inspector arrived after the bar was closed to find four customers waiting for a cab just inside the front door and the fire-door at the rear was locked.

They weren’t drinking just being allowed the courtesy of waiting inside until the cab arrived.

That is between the Deck and the LLBO but as they were the subject of the rumours which in no way lessens the insult that many groups of riders received that day, but even those rumours were wrong!

I wrote that I would be doing a follow-up on this situation and I will but it has come to my attention that there may well be a class action suit being launched against the LLBO for one and maybe other groups as well but at the time of this writing it is unclear as to the depth and scope of this alleged legal action.

I will keep you posted in this column and on my website as it develops.

It is about time we take a stand and make some noise!

Nobody wants to be lumped into a group to be ridiculed or maligned.

The Cops don’t want the stigma of being donut eating louts who abuse the system and operate with a different set of rules than the rest of the Citizens of this Province just because some do. There are good and bad in all.

The Politicians don’t want to be branded as liars and shallow self-serving cheats who are all just totally immersed in the public trough with the public teat firmly planted in their mouths and their hands thrust deep in our pockets because for some that is a perfect description, but there are good in bad in all.

The Black Community doesn’t want to be associated with criminal activity just because they are black. There are good and bad in all!

The same applies to every other ethnic group or identifiable group. There are good and bad in all!

Do you think there is any truth in the myths that “All women are bad Drivers?” “All blondes are dumb?” and so on and so on. These are stereotypes and no one takes them seriously, and anyone who really does is an ass!

Don’t judge all by the actions of some.

We as bikers expect the same.

We expect to be treated with the same rights as is afforded any other citizen of this Country but we are not and it is time to change that!

Until there is a legal and binding declaration making riding a motorcycle or wearing an insignia or patch showing membership or affiliation in a specific group as being criminal denying access to anything or restricting our rights to assembly and self-expression is a violation of our rights and those that do should be charged and reprimanded!

Don’t take the “All bikers are criminals.” stereotype that the police and others have been perpetuating (To suit their purposes and their agendas.) any more seriously than the blonde jokes.

As I said there is the distant sounds of discontent that are growing louder and coming from areas where they haven’t come from in the past because more and more clubs are springing up all the time and those who are putting on these patches are now finding out that there are problems in Ontari-ary oh!

Some have never experienced this kind of thing before and can’t believe that it is happening.

It is time to let people know that before you label a group a “Gang” not worthy of being served an alcoholic beverage or deny them access to a public function that they had better be prepared for a fight!

The numbers are growing!

Do you hear the sound?

Is it time to turn up the volume so that it is heard?

Is it time to make some noise?

There has been a lot about Police in the news lately, what with the Cop threatening to Taser handcuffed prisoners in the testicles, the mishandling of the G- 20 fiasco, that scumbag, murdering piece of shit Richard Wills abusing the system and a collection of other stories that I’m sure most cops would love to see go away.

It’s got to make a difficult job even harder when stories like this unfold in the news.

No one wants to be tarnished or have your profession tarnished by the actions of another who obviously doesn’t place the same value or take the same pride in his/her work that you do and have to make excuses for these others just because they wear the same uniform, work for the same company, are in the same club or any number of scenarios.

Your worth should be established by your performance of your job.

No one likes to be ridiculed or have the job they do ridiculed as we all want to feel that we have value as a human being and members of society and the work force.

I’m quite sure that most of us like to feel that we are contributing to society and that we are respected by our family, our peers and our co-workers and that we can as citizens go anywhere we want and do whatever we want within the boundaries that are set by law and by society.

I don’t like to unduly criticize anyone or any group without provocation or reason but sometimes some so richly deserve criticism and to have their deeds brought to question.

I have been accused of being overly critical of police officers in past writings and some have suggested that I’m unfair in the criticism and that I just like to pick on them so I have something to write or that I simply don’t like Cops.

Simply, not true!

I feel that I am being fair and only criticize when criticism is due or when something is brought to my attention.

Police in our society are essential!

They do a difficult and largely thankless job and find themselves under scrutiny by both their superior and the public. I’m sure that they have the same issues or perhaps even more issues with their superiors as most of have in our jobs and our day to day lives.

I am sure that most police officers do their jobs with integrity and pride and believe that what they do is in the best interest of the community in which they serve.

The difference is they are held (And rightfully so!) to a higher standard than ordinary citizens because they swore an oath to serve and protect the citizens of the community in which they serve and hold us to standards set by society. We expect them to at the very least be held to those standards.

They are supposedly well trained and are to be trusted and respected by virtue of that oath and the badge and uniform that they wear.

Some time ago I had written a series of articles that where very critical about certain Police officers who completely abused the authority and the trust that was placed in them and dealt with everything from Murder, fraud, theft, guns, drugs, prostitution, assault and the list went on and on and on. The behaviour of these Cops was appalling and shocking and they were billing the public for their defence and in most cases were still being paid while their cases ground through the courts and sought and got the full support of their Police associations.

I had written the articles that chronicled these events and found myself at The Fort Erie Swap Meet when a young female Officer walked by me, looked me in the eye, sneered and asked “What kind of crap did you write about us this month?”

My immediate response was “Are you on the take, murder anyone, steal, take or do drugs or any of the stuff I’ve been writing about?”

She recoiled and snapped back in a haughty tone “Certainly Not!”

“Then I didn’t write anything bad about you. Have a nice day!” I replied.

An incident was just recently brought to my attention that involved a couple of lady riders who were stopped by a Durham Police Officer (Yes I can provide name and badge number if requested.) who allegedly jumped from his cruiser and stated emphatically, pointing to the one bike “Your pipes are too loud!” and to the other “Your handlebars are too high!”

Then the two, not unattractive, female riders removed their helmets and the attitude allegedly changed substantially.

Suddenly there was no issue over anything and any mention of charges went away and one of the riders was even provided with a card with the officers contact information should there be any questions.

The riders went on their way.

Fine!

They dodged a bullet you might say.

That was cool, as long as things worked out.

No harm! No foul!

The Cop was Human and just let it go.

Except the story doesn’t end there!

Less than an hour later the same officer stops two other bikers, husband and wife, he is a club member.

They were not speeding or doing anything to be stopped for.

Just another ”routine” stop that seems to only occur when you are riding a motorcycle and the chances of getting stopped increase substantially if you happen to wear a patch (more in some municipalities than others) but stopped they were and this couple were about to receive an entirely different type of treatment than the two ladies that were stopped previously (and just happened to be friends with these two riders which is why this story comes to light!} and with no call me if you have any questions or friendly “Have a nice day!”

“You’re not leaving here without a ticket! He allegedly barked.

“Pipes, Handlebars, Helmet, Your choice?” was the alleged terse demand from this officer.

No measurements, no inspection, no decibel readings, nothing! Were any tickets really warranted at all?

Really?

I ask this officer and I ask you if these allegations are true?

How is this harassment serving the public good?

How is this doing your job?

How is this to be considered Law Enforcement?

How is this something that you can be proud of?

How is this type of behaviour not screaming out to be ridiculed?

How is this type of thing condoned?

How is that worthy of trust?

How is that worthy of honour?

WTF?

Just asking?
